Impact Hub Berlin is an innovation and founding center for social and sustainable entrepreneurs. 
We are currently prototyping in a temporary space until summer 2014. We are testing our assummptions to set up an Impact Hub that embraces a collaborative/innovative way of working to drive our community forward.

We host different types of events at our proto hub, from panels to meet ups and workshops. We offer events that are public and some that are specially designed for our community only. Register – we’re looking forward to seeing you at one!

What is happening this month?

[Members only]. Exceptionally on every Wednesday at 1pm: join us for a fabulous community meal. It‘ll either be a sexy salad we make together or the deliciously fresh buffet at Agora‘s restauarant (4 to 6 €). We want some quality time with our community. Great food, meet other members and engage in inspiring conversations!

23.04, 7pm /// The Changer is celebrating their launch. They prototyped their service by creating the facebook group: „Berlin Social Jobs & Internships“ that many of you know. They took their learning and launched their beta-website: . With their approach they fit our credo: build, measure and learn. We want to enable better eco system for social innovation in Berlin. Join their launch party.

25.04, 5pm /// Our event series Theory & Practice combines a theoretical session and a practical workshop around an interesting theme. This month it‘s about how to build partnerships and learn skills immediately. Join our PRACTICAL workshop on friday, 25.04.2014 at 5pm. Learn hands-on tools to build and sustain partnerships. It will be facilitated by Alyona Asyamova (Impact Coordinator, Impact Hub Global). Please register!

29.04, 7:30pm /// Als eine neue Form der Krankenabsicherung ist die Samarita Solidargemeinschaft eine echte Alternative zu den herkömm- lichen Kassen. Warum sind Solidargemeinschaften für unsere Gesellschaft unverzichtbar? Was sind die Chancen und Herausforderungen dieser Form? Wir möchten den Impuls und die Idee der Samarita Solidarge- meinschaft vorstellen und im Gespräch herausfinden, wie wir den gesellschaftlichen Wandel im Gesundheitswesen weiter voranbringen können. Eintritt frei!

Our temporary space offers over 100 square meters to connect, work and experiment. It‘s flexibility and adaptability encourage our community to interact, co-create and test new ways of working to make a bigger social impact.

Offer for Organisations

We offer different kind of educational programs and (inhouse) – trainings in the areas of social entrepreneurship, sustainability and innovation. We believe in experience-based learning and collaboration. That’s why we have developed methods, tools and skill-building formats to spread practical knowledge about social innovation, social entrepreneurship and new ways of collaboration.

Our introductory formats range from innovation workshops to boot camps. They enabe people to connect, work and accelerate. We also offer more in-depth formats that empower and guide organisations to connect to start-ups, learn about new innovation methods, solve (in-house) challenges and implement new solutions.

Nele Kapretz

General Manager

Nele has a strong professional background in organization and management with a focus on sustainability, social entrepreneurship and youth. Nele holds a MSc in Sustainable Resource Management and has qualifications in design thinking, marketing, business modeling and events management. Being a native Berliner who has worked and studied in different countries, she has a large professional interdisciplinary network.

Leon Reiner

Leon Reiner

Partnerships Manager

Leon has a background in international development & economics. He previously worked for a consultancy in the social entrepreneurship sector and managed an incubator for social start-ups. On the side Leon build his teaching competencies developing SE courses for different universities and founded the Social Entrepreneurship Education Network to connect educators in the field. With his extensive network and passion to connect stakeholders he will build a lasting partnerships for the Impact Hub Berlin.

Anna Lässer

Anna Lässer

Program Manager

Anna has professional expertise in service design and user experience of mobile products. She holds a BA in European Studies and a MA in Media & Visual Anthropology. Anna is an expert in applying Design Thinking methodology to design workshops that are tailored, solution-orientated and co-creative and interactive. She is an innovation manager and has consulted renowned German companies in implementing solutions to become more innovative.

Martin Hobler

Martin Hobler


Martin was part of the first generation IT founders. Having an MBA and starting his career as a financial advisor at PriceWaterhouse-Coopers, today he is an entrepreneur and business angel himself with an extensive knowledge of the start-up scene. In the past years his interests have shifted also towards the green tech scene in which he successfully established an international renewable energy enterprise.
